New appointment at National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain

The management of the National Youth Band of Great Britain has been strengthened by the appointment of an experience funding development officer.

  Louise Shaw beings a great deal of experience to the organisation

The National Youth Band of Great Britain has announced the appointment of Louise Shaw as it first ever Funding Development Manager.

It also finalises the key management appointments for the organisation as it looks forward to an exciting new era both on and off the concert and recording stage.

Extensive experience

Louise has extensive experience as a fundraiser and manager who has raised some £20 million for charity, and joins from the University of Sheffield, where she worked as its Senior Philanthropy Manager — Foundations for nearly ten years.

The University of Huddersfield graduate will be responsible for raising vital funds for the organisation and will work closely with CEO Mark Bromley, Operations Manager Richard Milton and Communications & Marketing Manager, Ben Stratford.

Key member

Speaking about the appointment, Mark Bromley said: "We're delighted to welcome Louise. She will be a key member of the leadership team of the NYBBGB, with the purpose of helping develop and deliver the organisation's funding development strategy, which in turn will support the organisation in its plans to make the Band more accessible to a broader range of people."

June 6 • Epping Forest band have a vacancy for solo horn. We are a friendly 3rd section band with a variety of gigs through out the year. We have our own band hut with close to links with London Underground central line and the M11 motorway.

June 6 • Front row cornet, solo horn & trombone players. We are a friendly, active non competition band established 75 years performing regularly in Chelmsford & Essex. Rehearsals averaging 26 players on Wednesday evenings at Broomfield Methodist Church Chelmsford
