Tredegar solo horn player Ross Dunne has launched a now on-line teaching service.
Ross has been encouraged to set up his new service thanks in part to the response to the series of mini-masterclasses he recently posted through 4Barsrest.
Personalise
The Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama graduate now wants to personalise them to be able to work directly with players so that he can help them make sustainable long term progress with their playing.
"I really enjoyed researching and producing the masterclasses and I felt it gave me the opportunity to reach out to players in a new and inventive way,"he said.
"Mine is a systemic approach to practice — covering all foundation areas of playing a brass instrument and building on them.
I draw upon my extensive research of brass methods to tailor routines and practise regimes that enhance identify and rectify weaknesses and develop the all-round abilities of a player.
It is not just about the mechanics of playing either — and I hope to help players build techniques to give confidence on the concert and contest stage."
Zoom platform
The online platform will be Zoom, and all playing is done via pre-recorded videos to avoid connection and quality issues.
