Fulham Brass Band added yet another famous musical name to their register of on-line interviews this week, when London Symphony Orchestra violinist Maxine Kwok Adams joined John Ward and the band for an inspirational chat.
Maxine has played with the LSO for over 20 years and revealed details of her career which has seen her work under an amazing list of conductors — including 'Star Wars' composer John Williams.
High profile chats
She was the latest high profile musician to join Fulham for a chat over the last few months, with the likes of Proms composer Gavin Higgins and trombonist Helen Vollam, composer Anna Meredith, Simone Rebello and legendary New York Philharmonic Orchestra trumpet player Philip Smith all dropping in.
Maxine revealed how that particular musical relationship with John Williams has become fixed over the years — from recording prequels to the iconic franchise to Harry Potter and many more.
Maxine also talked about how recording work has changed to include video game music as well as the sound track to rather more obscure films such as 'Bride of Chucky"
Radio host
She also spoke about how she herself has branched out into teaching and now presenting as she recently hosted a programme on Scala Radio.
Maxine later tweeted: "So fun to share my experiences in the recording studio with lovely people."
