IBB Media Ltd, the organisers of the BrassPass.tv 'Band of the Year' contest and the Young Brass Award competitions, has confirmed the cancellation of both events due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation.

New date

In speaking about the decision to cancel the 2020 events IBB Media Managing Director, Martin Gernon said: "We wanted to give both events every chance of happening but the ongoing Covid-19 situation has made this impossible.

The date for next year's 'Band of the Year' contest is confirmed as 5th June at the Albert Halls in Bolton.

Customers who have purchased tickets for this year's event can either have a full refund or have their ticket transferred to next year's event. Our ticketing partner, Quay Tickets, shall be contacting all customers in due course."

Later date

Details of the 2021 Young Brass Awards shall be announced at a later date.
