Besson is launching a brand new fortnightly internet programme this evening (Friday 19th June at 6.00pm — BST) that will feature leading stars of the brass band world and beyond in conversation with hosts Philip Harper, Steven Mead and Roger Webster.

Besson Fridays @ Home

The aim of 'Besson Fridays @ Home' is to give people with an interest in the brass world a relaxed and friendly connection with some of the leading manufacturer's star artists — starting with the trio's first special guest, Tom Hutchinson, principal cornet of the world's number 1 ranked band, Cory.

The first pre-recorded programme will set the foundation stone to build on.

4BR has been informed that over the coming months it will build into a regular vibrant hub of conversation, news, tips and analysis on the pressing topics of the day in the brass band world, as well as explore the exciting developments that are coming out of the Besson factory such as the new range of Prodige student instruments.

Exciting first step

Speaking about the launch of the new programme, Steven Mead told 4BR: "This is the exciting first step for what we think will be a great way for any person with an interest in the world of brass to start their weekend.

With Philip and Roger on board you can expect it to be a great mix of expertise, insight and humour, and I'm thrilled to be involved."

Tom Hutchinson

He added: "Besson has a world class stable of musicians to call upon to offer their own opinions, views and insight too, and Tom is such a popular and respected cornet player around the banding world that he was the perfect choice to be our first guest."

The first programme will be broadcast on Besson's Facebook page at 6.00pm (BST) on Friday 19th June: https://www.facebook.com/BessonBrass/
