Speaking about the appointment he said: "It is a privilege to be joining as Chair of Governors. The RNCM is an inspirational conservatoire with a rich history of promoting and influencing music both nationally and internationally.
I have long admired its passion for exceptional teaching, learning and performance opportunities, and its commitment to supporting artists throughout their development and career is second to none.
As an amateur Indian musician myself, I appreciate the extensive resources available to students, teachers and renowned performers. It is a true honour to be entrusted with this position, and I look forward to playing my part to inspire the next generation of musicians."
