World Rankings — April update

The latest update of the Band Supplies — 4barsrest.com World Rankings sees considerable change throughout the table following the busy contest season.

Tredegar Band
Tredegar Band celebrating their 2020 Regional Championships victory in Swansea

The Regional championships went well for Foden's, Tredegar, Black Dyke, co-operation band, GUS, Camborne and NASUWT Riverside, although the coronavirus lockdown meant that bands in the London and Southern Counties Area missed out this time.

The other contests taking place since the last update were:

French National Championships — won by Hauts-de-France
Oxfordshire BBA — won by Kidlington Concert
BBL Brass in Concert — won by 1st Old Boys Silver

The lockdown also brings a lot of uncertainty as to when contesting will begin again, so 2020 looks like being a year of considerably less activity than usual. The rankings, however, will be back as soon as the first contests take place in the banding world, wherever they are.
