Ray Farr has sent a message to all the players who would have been attending the Easter course of the National Youth Brass of Great Britain which was cancelled due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic.
In it he shares his own memories his time as a player with the band under Dr Denis Wright as well as the music that he hoped to bring to the players this year — including Bernstein's 'On the Town', 'Dog Breath Variations' by Frank Zappa and his own arrangement of Eric Whitacre's 'Ghost Train'.
He also reveals that he has ensured that his diary is free for 2021 so that he will be able to return to conduct the band.
