Following a meeting of members of the North of England Regional Championship Committee in Durham this evening (Friday 13th March), it has been agreed the event will go ahead as planned this weekend.
Appropriate medical advice
Regional Secretary Tony Griffiths told 4BR: "We have sought, discussed and taken on board the appropriate up to date medical advice and health care instructions issued by the Government and its medical advisers.
As a result the Regional Championships will go ahead as planned, although we ask the people to also take responsible action to ensure their own health and safety as well as others.
We are fully aware of people's concerns and if there are any problems or questions we will do our very best to act upon them."
