The set-works to be performed at the 2020 New Zealand National Championships have been announced.
The event first took place in 1880, making it the oldest National Championship in the banding world — and this year it returns to Christchurch, the city that hosted the first event 140 years ago.
The festival takes place from the 8th to 12th July based at the city's Town Hall. The Chief Adjudicator will be Dr Brett Baker with Assistant Chief Adjudicator FLTLT David Gallaher.
As always there is a full itinerary of competitive events — from the prestigious solo championships to the spectacle of the street march event and the various Grade contests.
Set Works:
A Grade: Of Men and Mountains (Edward Gregson)
B Grade: Temperamental (Fendall Hill)
C Grade: Fanfares (David Woodcock)
D Grade: 1953 (Fraser Bremner)
