There are just a couple of places left to fill for competing bands wishing to take part in the 2020 Welsh Open Entertainment Championship which takes place in Porthcawl on Saturday 15th February.

The contest at the seaside town's famous Grand Pavilion has grown in popularity since its inception in 1998, and attracts a packed audience to what is regarded as the start of the domestic contest season in Wales.
The event, which is open to bands from all parts of the UK and abroad, also has a direct link to the British Open Championships, with a qualifying band taking their place in the Spring Festival line-up in May next year.
With a generous prize fund, entertaining musical presentations and excellent organisation, it promises to be another highly successful contest day.

Prizes
The contest is open to all nationally graded Championship and First Section bands as of 1st January 2020, with a first prize of £1,000 up for grabs alongside the magnificent CISWO Challenge Trophy.
