Glenn Van Looy's latest CD will be released later this week

Belgian euphonium virtuoso Glenn Van Looy has launched his latest solo CD entitled, 'Step Out'.
It has been recorded with Welsh Champion Tredegar and will be officially released on Friday 15th November.

The CD features major works by Ludovic Neurohr, Luc Vertommen, Derek Bourgeois, Tom Davoren, Frederick Schjelderup and Robin Dewhurst.

Special meaning

Speaking about the release Glenn told 4BR: "Each of the pieces has a special meaning to me — with the number 3 at the heart of it; three different concertos for what is my third solo album.

The Concertos are all different in their own way and I'm particularly excited to have been able to make the first recording of the Bourgeois work — and what a work it is!"

Thanks

He added: "My thanks got to my sponsors Geneva Instruments and to Ian Porthouse and Tredegar — the perfect conductor and band to team up with for a project such as this.

It's an ambitious recording that showcases the full range and variety of the euphonium as a solo instrument. I hope everyone enjoy listening to it as much as I did performing it."
