Brass in Concert Festival to be live-streamed

The Brass in Concert weekend of brass band entertainment will be live-streamed this year — so you can also sit back and enjoy the playing all over the banding world.

The live stream will come from Sage Gateshead

The organisers of the 43rd Brass in Concert Festival, to be held at Sage Gateshead on 16th/17th November in association with World of Brass, Banks Group and Yamaha, have announced that this year's event will be streamed live on the internet.

Working with Principal Partner World of Brass and 4barsrest, the Brass in Concert team have made arrangements with all performers to ensure that the main Championship contest, the 2nd Youth Brass in Concert Championship and World of Brass in Concert featuring Brighouse & Rastrick and euphonium virtuoso David Childs can be enjoyed.

Benefits

A spokesperson for BIC told 4BR: "We're delighted to be able to make the world's leading brass entertainment festival available to lovers of band music worldwide.

This new arrangement with World of Brass will provide benefits for all Brass in Concert performers and we are indebted to the competing bands and gala concert participants for their co-operation in facilitating this."

They added: "Brass in Concert's reputation for providing high-quality entertainment is well established, especially since moving to Sage Gateshead in 2005, and our partnership with World of Brass since then has inspired countless innovations in the way the bands themselves present their programmes at the event.

The introduction of Youth Brass in Concert in 2018 was also an enormous success and the projection of their performances around the world, along with those in Sunday's Championship, will provide a fantastic marketing opportunity for both Brass in Concert and the bands themselves."
