The Lofthouse 2000 Band celebrated their anniversary by raising funds for the Wakefield Hospice

Lofthouse 2000 Band's recent 20th anniversary concert in support of Wakefield Hospice was certainly both a wonderful musical as well as financial success.

Brassed Off

Featuring Grimethorpe Colliery Band's flugel horn, Mark Walters, the audience was treated to a concert version of 'Brassed Off!' with narration from the renowned Yorkshire singer, Jacob Walsh.

The programme featured music important to the band over its 20 year history as well as 'Brassed Off!' favourite's including 'Concierto de Aranjuez', 'Floral Dance', 'Danny Boy' and 'William Tell' overture.

The concert was thoroughly enjoyed by a packed audience, who also had the opportunity to be first in line to purchase the band's new CD, 'Bandstand'4BR
