McQueen's help bring the sound of brass band music to Uganda

The renowned instrument repairers and renovators use they expertise to restore over 30 instruments to be sent to Uganda to help the work of a leading music charity.

McQueen
Making sure everything is perfect: Adam White uses years of experience to repair and restore the instruments

McQueen's Instrument Repair Specialist craftsman Adam White works on fully restoring a donated instrument that will be sent with over 30 others to help support the work of the 'Saved By Music Foundation' in Uganda.

Led by its founder Rick McQueen, the company has gained a world leading reputation for its instrument repair and restoration work — which also includes regular servicing of both the famous Premier League and FA Cup trophies, as well as the prized instruments of many of the world's leading players.

Craftsmanship

Based in Pendlebury, Greater Manchester it is the last remaining renovating workshop of brass instruments in the UK that combines state of the art technology with the type of traditional craftsmanship that has underpinned the making of brass instruments since they became popular in the mid 19th century.

The company is shortly sending over 30 donated brass instruments which have been serviced for free and will be sent at Rick's own expense, to help inspire the love of music making to children as part of the 'Saved By Music Foundation' in Uganda.
