The Slaithwaite Band has announced the appointment of Matt Hindle as their new Music Director.

Impressive

After an impressive three years in charge at Dobcross Youth Band, Matt has more recently been seen leading the successful Sale Band, guiding them to a top-six finish at the Fourth Section National Final in Cheltenham.

He has also gained widespread experience as player with the likes of Rothwell and Foden's. He studied Music Performance at the Royal Northern College of Music and is currently Head of Music at Oulder Hill High School in Rochdale.

He told 4BR: "It's a great honour to accept the role at Slaithwaite, and I look forward to taking them forward. They are a hard working and a very friendly band who are striving to progress."
