The line-up of bands that will showcase their talents as part of the 2019/2020 Leeds 'Best of Brass' series at Morley Town Hall have been announced.

Set up over 30 years ago, the series consists of eight concerts which take place in the historic, Grade II listed building.

Brass band fans can enjoy performances from the likes of Black Dyke, Tredegar and Grimethorpe Colliery to bring 2019 to a close, before 2020 will see Brighouse & Rastrick, Carlton Main Frickley, Leyland, Foden's and Rothwell Temperance take to the stage.

Fortunate

Series compere, Simon Lindley told 4BR: "We're so fortunate in Leeds to have a series of concerts dedicated to world class brass bands where we can hear the amazing colour, vitality and thrilling sounds they offer.

The bands perform a wide range of music from traditional marches to big band favourites. There is always such lovely atmosphere at these concerts and the audience always make myself and the performers feel so welcome."
