The defending National Champion has announced that they will appear at the traditional 'Eve of National Final' concert at Regent Hall this year.

Foden's will be directed by Russell Gray in an event that will have a special poignancy following the recent death of promoter Philip Biggs.

Speaking about the concert Band Manager Mark Wilkinson told 4BR: "The event was booked into our schedule for the 11th October and the band was looking forward to it immensely.

Honoured

The death of Philip Biggs shook the brass band world, but it is only right, and after consulting with the family, that the concert will go ahead.

We are honoured that Philip's family will be in attendance and we hope as many brass band fans come along to support an event that he did so much to maintain and develop over the years."

Mark revealed that the eclectic programme include a number solo items as well the opportunity to hear the set-work 'Titan's Progress' performed ahead of the band's National title defence.
