Gareth Trott, a graduate of the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and currently serving as a professional musician with the Band of the Irish Guards, has been asked to become a tutor at the London College of Music (University of London).
It is the latest development in the Welshman's career — one that started with the Goodwick Band in west Wales.

He told 4BR: "I'm keen to help the college build its profile of the instrument.
I hope I can put what I've been taught and skills I've developed within my time at RWCMD under David Childs, in my Welsh brass banding roots and my time so far in the Band of the Irish Guards to good use."
