New signings for Scottish champion ahead of Cheltenham

Scottish Second Section Champion Newmains & District announce new signings as they prepare for their trip to the National Finals in Cheltenham.

Scottish Second Section Champion Newmains & District Band has made some new signings ahead of their trip south to Cheltenham on the weekend for their appearance at the National Finals

Signings

New signings include Suzanne Morris on 2nd horn having previously played with Wakefield Metropolitan Band in Yorkshire.

Rising Eb tuba star Laura Carter moves from Bon Accord to study in Edinburgh and is joined by her friend Dave Mcauley who has previously helped out on trombone but will play second baritone for the contest.

It will be Newmains third consecutive appearance at Cheltenham, an outstanding achievement since the band was only reformed in 20154BR

Once again the band will be conducted by Michael Marzella whilst they recently welcomed his daughter Katrina along to help with final preparations ahead of her own appearance at the British Open.
