Snowdown Colliery Welfare Band recently performed at one of London's iconic bandstands after gaining a special invitation by the Friends of Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens.
Second visit
Concerts at the venue, which is a stone's throw from the Royal Albert Hall, had become increasingly scarce over a number of years, although since its renovation this was the band's second visit after a representative of the organisation saw them performing at a local concert in 2017.
The concert was also blessed with wonderful weather, ensuring that a large and appreciative audience of listeners and tourists enjoyed the repertoire from the band from Aylesham in Kent.
The performance was very well received and we enjoyed some fantastic comments made by the visitors from all over the world who stooped to listen to us play, take pictures and even a few videosSnowdown Colliery Band
