Blidworth Welfare Band has announced the appointment of Fendall Hill as their new Associate Composer.

Fendall is a hugely respected musician in southern hemisphere banding, and is based on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland.

National success

He is a four-time New Zealand soprano cornet champion as well as winning the 2019 Australian soprano cornet champion title and has provided a number of works that have been used as test pieces at both the New Zealand and Australian National Championships.

A spokesperson told 4BR: "We are delighted that Fendall accepted our invitation to become Associate Composer."
