Stefan Popp has become the new MD at European Challenge Champion Brass Band Regensburg

  Stefan Popp has become the new Musical Director of the European Challenge Champion.

Following their hugely encouraging success in winning the European Challenge Section title in Montreux, German champion Brass Band Regensburg has appointed Stefan Popp as their new Musical Director.

Stefan has worked as a conductor in Germany, England and Switzerland and as a respected instrumentalist on both euphonium and percussion has gained widespread experience in the fields of brass,wind band, rock band and symphony orchestras.

Develop

His early conducting lessons were at Warwick University in the UK, which gave him a desire to explore and develop his brass band conducting career.

He did this in his home country with Nordbayerische Blaserakademie, the Conservatorio Claudio Monterverdi in Bolzano in Italy with Thomas Doss and at the Hochschule der Kunste Bern in Switzerland.
