Jamie Smith becomes the new MD at Hade Edge Band

The Hade Edge Band has announced the appointment of Jamie Smith as their new Musical Director. He will take up his new role in August.

Top flight experience

The talented cornet player has performed with many of the UK's top bands, including spells as Hammonds, Grimethorpe and more recently at Flowers.

A graduate of the RNCM in Manchester he is also a member of the award winning A4 Brass Quartet.

Band spokesperson Robert Turnbull told 4BR: "The band is looking forward to a new musical chapter with Jamie at the helm."
