Redruth Town Band has been celebrating a hat-trick of victories at the popular West of England Bandsmans Festival in Bugle.

The latest success under MD Andrew Craze came courtesy of a fine rendition of the set-work, 'A Saddleworth Festival Overture' which gave them a three-point margin over nearest rivals Lostwithiel Town.

Quality

The adjudication highlighted the band's quality of sound, dynamic contrast and stability of tempo, elements that the MD told 4BR that they had been working hard on.

"These are the elements we have been working on for some time now and it is paying off. It's also an approach that we will be maintaining as we look towards out appearance at the National Final in Cheltenham in September."
