The Brass in Concert Championship has revealed the full line-up of competing bands for its second Youth Brass in Concert Championship.
The contest was a huge success last year, adding an extra dimension to the festival weekend, and with a line-up that includes the defending champion and current European Development Section holders Wardle Academy Youth, alongside some of the very best youth ensembles in the country, it promises to be another great event.
Wonderful afternoon
The contest takes place on Saturday 16th November, and will provide a wonderful afternoon of entertainment before the eagerly anticipated evening Gala Concert which will feature Brighouse & Rastrick with euphonium virtuoso David Childs.

BiC Chairman John Woods told 4BR: "Saturday is now also becoming unmissable for all fans of brass music and we are pleased to present the second Youth Brass in Concert Championship, at Sage One during the afternoon.
The Taster sessions and Workshops will also continue, while Brighouse & Rastrick and David Childs will provide the entertainment at the World of Brass in Concert event in the evening (7.30pm)."

Opportunity
John confirmed that the youth bands will perform 20 minute programmes in competing for a first prize of £1,000 with the runner-up gaining £500 and all other bands £250, whilst the ethos of the event is to promote experience, opportunity, inclusion and education."
