Brass band golfers are being reminded that there is still enough time to support a brilliant charity golf day to help raise funds for a great cause and remember a fantastic player.
The charity golf day in memory of the former Cory principal cornet player Ian Williams is to be held at Creigiau Golf Club on Sunday June 2nd.
It's being organised by Tom Hutchinson, the player who took over from him in the role and who became a great personal friend. The money raised will be donated to the British Heart Foundation.
Great passions
Tom told 4BR: "Ian had two great passions in his life — brass bands and golf. This is a great way to remember him in a friendly sporting way without any test-piece pressures!"
Entry is £110 per team of 4 or £30 per person to include 18 holes of golf, bacon rolls and coffee, buffet and plenty of prizes.
Golfers of all standards (and plenty of non-golfing brass banders) are welcome to take part and enjoy a great day of friendly rivalry and missed putts.
