The annual West of England Bandsmen's Festival will take place in the picturesque Cornish village of Bugle on Saturday June 15th.
It will be the 95th time that the famous contest has taken place — one which features the competing bands marching down the main high street to the contest field.
Royal Trophy
There are 21 entries this year, with six bands competing for the prestigious Championship Section, Royal Trophy, presented to the Festival in 1913 by the then Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall.
The Festival, situated at Molinnis Park in Bugle, provides ample parking in view of the Bandstand and with comfortable seating available sets the scene for the audience to enjoy the attractive selection of test pieces.
With the renowned 'Tea Tent' and plenty of trade stands and attractions the scene will be set for another family friendly day of music making.
