Friary offer Fraternity preview ahead of Grand Shield challenge

The London & Southern Counties champion will preview their Grand Shied preparations as they seek to claim British Open qualification.

Friary Brass Band, the London & Southern Counties Area champion, will be showcasing its 'Fraternity' preparation ahead of their trip to Blackpool next weekend to compete at the Grand Shield.

Outstanding form

The band is looking to secure its place at the British Open Championship at Symphony Hall in September under the baton of Chris King, and will be hoping to maintain its recent outstanding 2019 form, which has already seen them come runner-up at the Butlins Mineworkers Championship and retain the Area title for the fifth consecutive year.

Time and place

The free open rehearsal will be held on Wednesday 15th May at All Saints Church, 564 Woodham Lane, Woking (GU21 5SH) from 8.00pm to 10.00pm.
