Eikanger Bjorsvik has put their European Championship disappointment behind them as they look to inspire the next generation of Norwegian trombone players.
The National Champion organised a special Trombone Day on their return from Montreux at their rehearsal base in Knarvik in Bergen — part of a twice yearly event they have hosted for the past decade to encourage young players.
So important
21 youngsters from local youth bands and schools took part, with a band spokesperson telling 4BR: "We've undertaken this programme for the past 10 years as part of our long term commitment to youth development.
It's so important to us. Every section has been covered and we feel it is so important to encourage the next generation who will hopefully go onto enjoy a lifetime of playing brass music."
