The two stars will lead the free workshop event

Two of the world's leading brass soloists will be hosting a free workshop in Scotland next month.

Black Dyke's principal cornet Richard Marshall and solo baritone Katrina Marzella will hold a free workshop at Whitburn Band Hall in Whitburn, West Lothian on Saturday, May 11th (12 noon to 1.30pm)

To make the event fully inclusive young players can also use the Whitburn Facebook page to ask the pair any practice and rehearsal tips. All you have to do is send a message.

Open to all

Supported by leading retailers Band Supplies, the workshop will be open to all players of all standards to attend and will be followed later the same evening when the stars will feature as guest soloists with Whitburn Band, conducted by Prof Nicholas J Childs.

This concert will be held at the SS John Cantius & Nicholas in Broxburn at 7.30pm, with tickets available on the door priced at £10/£8 concessions.

As well as the workshop and the concert, Katrina, who used to play with Whitburn, will make the Scottish launch of her new solo CD, 'Spotlight'.
