4BR understands that as Geneva continues to expand the Black Dyke trombonist will play a vital role in looking at a range of new initiatives for the company to support the brass band movement.
CEO Tim Oldroyd told 4BR: "I'm delighted to welcome Brett on board with his experience in many aspects of instrument design, teaching, conducting, playing as well as marketing, promotion, strategy and management."

New chapter
In response Brett replied: "This is an exciting new chapter for me to look at expanding the Geneva Group of brands as well as continuing to encourage and develop youth bands and young players throughout the UK with Geneva's assistance.
This will complement the work I currently undertake in the university sector as well as working with regional and national youth bands, something that is very much my passion".
