Bolsover Festival close to the 50 mark

There are only a few places up for grabs for the live-streamed Bolsover Festival of Brass — six months before the first note is played...

Hepworth
Hepworth claimed the 2018 title by playing to a worldwide audience

Such has been the success of the Bolsover Festival of Brass Festival that the organisers have informed 4BR that nearly 50 bands have already signed up to take part in the 2019 event, even though it doesn't take place until Sunday 6th October.

Once again it will be hosted at the Heritage High School in Clowne, and will be live-streamed around the banding globe with competitors in the five sections having the opportunity to showcase their talents.

Get in touch

Speaking to 4BR, a spokesperson said: "We had bands confirming their participation almost as soon as we had announced the 2018 winners.

We've been delighted by the response and now only have a waiting list for the Championship and First Section and limited spaces for the Second, Third and Fourth. I would advise any bands that wish to take to get in touch as soon as possible."

They added: "We are also continuing to build on the broadcast foundations put in place over the last few years and we will be working to make it increasingly interactive to enable bands to reach out to the widest possible worldwide audience."
