Stars of the Yamaha Neo Ensemble will be heading to Scotland next month to undertake a series of workshops with school children as well as perform alongside them at the prestigious Perth Festival of Arts.

Led by Yamaha artist Russell Gray, the ensemble will link up with youngsters from local secondary schools in the days leading up to the evening performance on Wednesday 22nd May.

Inclusive

Speaking to 4BR, Russell said that it was a great way to link up and hopefully inspire talented young players. "The 10 day festival has a really inclusive outlook and we are delighted to be a part of it this year,"he said.

"We will be making the necessary arrangements with local schools to come along and hopefully inspire their players.

It's a great opportunity to spread the benefits of brass and percussion ensemble playing, especially as it will be rounded off with the concert together at such a great venue as the Perth Concert Hall."
