World Rankings — March update

Lots of movement throughout the rankings table following the round Regional Championships with Tredegar the biggest mover in the top 10 after their impressive win north Wales.

Tredegar Band players with MD Ian Porthouse
Tredegar gained a clean sweep of all the prizes on offer at the recent Welsh Regional Championships in north Wales.

The latest Band Supplies — 4barsrest.com World Rankings show changes across almost the entire table following the recent round of regional championships.

Wins for Foden's, Brighouse and Rastrick, Desford Colliery, Flowers, EYMS, Tredegar and the newly-named cooperation band and Friary Brass see all eight regional champions set up for a tilt at the National title in October.

The other contests held since the last update were:

NEMBBA Contest — won by Hatfield and Askern Colliery
ODBBA Winter Contest — won by Kidlington Concert.

The next update will follow the European Championships in Montreux, where Cory and Brighouse and Rastrick will be flying the flag for the UK against the rest of the continent's champion bands. With plenty of points up for grabs we can be sure of a few movers and shakers next month.
