Ahead of their attempt to claim the Midlands Regional title for the first time since 1975, Thoresby Colliery Band has announced the appointment of Sam Fisher as their new Resident Musical Director.
Experience
Having gained playing experience with the likes of Brighouse & Rastrick, Grimethorpe Colliery, Carlton Main Frickley and many leading professional groups and ensembles, he has also enjoyed conducting success with West Yorkshire Police, Old Silkstone, Chapeltown Silver and Carlton Main Frickley amongst others.
As a trainee member of the Association of Brass Band Adjudicators, he is now also looking forward to a number of assignments in 2019, including the National Youth Championships and the Whit Friday contests.
