Plans are falling into place for the 2019 British Open Brass Band Golf Competition.
Having run the event for the last 18 years, Stan Lippeatt has decided it's time to pass the baton (or should that be 6 iron) to Simon Willis and Andrew Bevan.
Stan told 4BR: "I've known these men for over 30 years and I know that they'll put the same effort into running the Golf Day as they have always put into their banding. They will do a great job."
This year's event will once again take place at Rufford Park Golf & Country Club in Nottinghamshire on Friday 24th May.
Prizes
Entries are now being sought for a day that will start with mid-morning refreshments before 18 holes of golf with individual and team prizes up for grabs. Presentation of prizes will take place after an early evening meal in the clubhouse.

Golfers can enter as a team of 4 or as individuals (with the possibility of forming a scratch team on the day).
