National Champion enters new partnership with Gard Bags as National success brings commercial opportunities...

The Gard Bags come with the famous Foden's logo

It is not just the musical profile of 2018 National Champion Foden's Band that has been increased since their memorable victory at the Royal Albert Hall in October but also their commercial one, with news that they have entered into a partnership with Gard Bags.

Leading personalities

Owned by the Talwar Brothers, Gard is a third generation family business with manufacturing facilities in Kolkata, India which caters for the needs of many leading ensembles and personalities in the music world — including the likes of Wayne Bergeron, Mike Lovatt and Arturo Sandoval.

Foden's were introduced to the company via trumpet star and band vice-president, Jens Lindemann, who is also an endorsee of the brand.

Worldwide respect

Speaking about the partnership Foden's Andy Rolfe told 4BR: "We are delighted to have entered into a partnership with a company which has worldwide respect for their high quality products.

The cornet section was presented with their Gard Bags following the National Championship victory and are extremely pleased with the quality of the materials and workmanship.

We are now working together to hopefully produce bags for the other sections of the band."
