The Harrogate Band has announced the appointment of the experienced Leigh Baker as their new Associate Musical Director.
Leigh last worked with the band in 2016 and will take the helm as they look towards the North of England Regional Championship in County Durham in March.
Change
The change of musical leadership follows the decision of Dean Jones to call time on his link with the band due to other commitments and his work as a music teacher.
During his two and half year tenure Harrogate gained promotion back to the Championship Section after winning the North of England First Section title earlier this year, and most recently came runner-up at the Wychavon Festival of Brass.

Enjoyed
He told 4BR: "I've thoroughly enjoyed my time at Harrogate and have been privileged to make music with some wonderful people.
They have a fantastic new band room which people definitely need to check out and experience and I wish them all the success in the Championship Section.
He added: "I'm now looking forward to focusing my energy on Crofton Silver as well as future projects and events, including writing music for my own wedding in July."
