Brass in Concert has confirmed that this year's contest on Sunday 18th November will start at 9.30am.
It follows the recent adjustment to the competing line-up and will see access to the concourse facilities open at 8.00am, with compere Frank Renton commencing his introductions at 9.20am.
Audience prize
It was also confirmed that the popular 'Audience Prize' will continue following its successful introduction last year, with listeners able to vote for their favourite band via a secure smartphone process on the day.
BiC Chairman John Woods told 4BR: "We're delighted that the Brass in Concert audience will again be able to play a tangible role in our event.
The Audience Award trophy, donated by former BiC Chairman Trevor Caffull, and £1,000 will go to the band that they decide has given the most enjoyment. Full instructions on how to take part in this, as well as other social media activities and a day-long trivia quiz will be given in the event programme."
Important feature
John added: "It worked very well last year, and we have also made a few enhancements to the presentation and hope that even more people will also join in our Trivia Quiz and Social Media Wall. We are sure that this will continue to be an important feature of the Brass in Concert weekend in the years ahead."
It was also confirmed that the television production company, TwoFour, who has already followed events at Whit Friday, the British Open and National Championship, will be filming at the event as part of their eagerly awaited series on Sky Arts.

Elementary workshops, taster sessions and a performance by new Siddis Brass champion Manger Musikklag from Norway are also on offer during the Saturday alongside a masterclass by Mike Lovatt.
