The organisers of the 25th French Open Championships have announced their list of set-works and adjudicators for their 2019 event to be held once again in the beautiful Loire Valley town of Amboise.
Taking place over the weekend of the 7th/8th and 9th June, the popular competition, with its variety of different events, attracts bands from round Europe, with entries now open from interested bands.
Ascension
Philip Wilby's 'Ascension', written in 2015 for Brass Band Burgermusik Luzern, is to be used as the set-work in the Championship Section, with compositions by James Curnow, Dean Goffin, Michael Ball and John Golland to be utilized in the other sections.
The adjudicators for the event have been announced as Chris Jeans (President), Philip Wilby, Luc Vertommen and Norbert Pfammatter. The popular march and outside entertainment competitions will be judged by Peter Collins and Michael Dubois
The closing date for entries is 15th March 2019
