Marshall and Webster to lead RNCM Cornet Day

Two of the banding world's star players will lead a special Cornet Day at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester next month.

The Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester will be holding a special 'Cornet Day' next month, led by Richard Marshall and Roger Webster.

It is hoped the event will provide inspiration and guidance for young cornet players aspiring to study the instrument at a higher level, and will take place at the RNCM on Sunday 25th November.

The RNCM Cornet Day is for students aged 16+* who hold at least Grade 6 in cornet or trumpet (or the equivalent standard) and who aspire to study at university or conservatoire level.

Masterclasses

Led by Richard and Roger, the day will include masterclasses and tuition with RNCM staff; including performance, technique and ensemble classes; advice on preparing for performance; a Q&A session with current students and graduates; a performance from an RNCM cornet ensemble, and the opportunity to perform in an ensemble alongside RNCM students.

It is hoped the event will provide inspiration and guidance for young cornet players aspiring to study the instrument at a higher level, and will take place at the RNCM on Sunday 25th November4BR

It costs £30 (£18 for under 18s) and will run on Sunday 25th November from 10.00am-6.00pm.

Bookings must be made by Friday 16th November
