Butlins reminder for big prize winners

There are still places to be filled in the sections at the 2019 Butlins Mineworkers Championship — but you have to be quick if you want to try and get your hands on the bumper prizes on offer.

The event will take place at the Butlins Skegness Resort

The Butlins Championships are reminding bands that there is still time to enter the 2019 Mineworkers Festival to be held at the Skegness Resort in January

Entry packs have been sent to bands currently held on their database but are keen to ensure that as many potential competitors as possible get the opportunity to come along and compete for the bumper prizes on offer.

Prize packages

With challenging audience friendly test pieces in each section, the elite contenders can look forward to possibly heading home with a prize package of up to £12,000 to their name, whilst the various section winners each pocket a substantial £2,000.

A spokesperson told 4BR: "We have already received an excellent response, but we are keen to attract as many bands as possible.

The attractions at Butlins extend further than the huge prize money, and the chance to play great test-pieces, as there will the usual excellent family friendly entertainment on offer, and the opportunity for individual players and quartets to enter the Butlins British Open Solo & Quartet Championships of Great Britain on the same weekend."

Get in touch

There are still places available in all sections and any bands wishing to take part in the contest should contact the Contest Administrator, Brian Eggleshaw as soon as possible.
