Fond farewell for Bramley at Barnsley

Jacob Bramley heads for a new form of musical chemistry as he bids a fond farewell to Barnsley Brass.

Barnsley Brass, the newly crowned Third Section Champions of Great Britain has said a fond farewell to their principal cornet player Jacob Bramley who starts his chemistry studies at York University later this month.

Jacob joined the band on third cornet in 2013 and progress all the way through the ranks to become principal cornet in November 2015.

Jacob has developed into a fine cornet player and was instrumental in leading us to success at the Yorkshire Area, where he was awarded the 'Best Soloist' prize, and the National FinalsMD, William Rushworth.

MD William Rushworth told 4BR: "Jacob has developed into a fine cornet player and was instrumental in leading us to success at the Yorkshire Area, where he was awarded the 'Best Soloist' prize, and the National Finals.

We wish him every success in his studies and as the new repiano cornet of York Railway Institute Band — but we hope to see him back with us in the future!"
