Great music on offer from mammoth field at Wychavon

There will be performances galore to enjoy at every level at the Wychavon Festival of Brass next month in Evesham

Wychavon
There will be plenty of great music to enjoy at Wychavon this year

There will be plenty of great musical entertainment to enjoy at the forthcoming Wychavon Festival of Brass, which takes place at the De Montfort School in Evesham on November 3rd.

There will be no less than 66 performances in four separate halls from the competing bands (some trying their luck in two sections), with the doors opening at 9.00am and the action starting half an hour later.

Tickets to go along and enjoy the music are just £8.00 if booked in advance and £10.00 on the day

Excellent facilities

As usual there will be excellent facilities to enjoy for competitors and audience alike, with a friendly atmosphere, generous prizes and the additional attraction for the highest placed, eligible band in the Championship Section gaining an invitation to compete at the Spring Festival.

ABBA and Spring Festival links

This year Wychavon has also linked up with the Association of Brass Band Adjudicators with trainee judges Christopher Bond and Jack Capstaff testing their own skills as well as observing the official judges Michael Fowles and Nigel Seaman at work in the Championship and First Sections respectively.

It is hoped the innovative approach will lead to further collaborations between the contest and AoBBA. Sarah Groarke-Booth, Ian Porthouse and Nicholas Garman complete the adjudication team
