The test-pieces to be used at the 2019 Yamaha Australian National Championships to be held in Brisbane in Queensland have been announced.
The Championships will be held over the Easter weekend of Thursday 18th April to Sunday 21st April. The recently refurbished Brisbane City Hall will be the main venue for the on stage band events, whilst the keenly fought solo and ensemble events will be based at the Griffith University Conservatorium of Music.
Handel in the Band
The Championship Section A Grade competitors will perform Kenneth Downie's 'Handel in the Band', which is being used at the Royal Albert Hall in a couple of weeks time.
There are a number of brand new commissions for the event, with test-piece world premieres to be heard in the B, C, D and Junior A Grade competitions.
