4BR has teamed up with our friends at Band Supplies to offer two lucky brass band fans the chance to win a brace of tickets to see the special showing of the film 'Brassed Off!' at Symphony Hall on Friday evening (September 8th) — with the music performed live by Grimethorpe Colliery Band.

Tickets and CDs

Not only will they enjoy the action on the huge screen in the auditorium, but they can also catch up with one of the stars Phil Jackson in a special question and answer session before the film starts at 7.30pm.

They will also be presented with some signed CDs on the night to take home as a souvenir before the big contesting event the following day.

Tintwistle Band

January 1 • We have a vacancy for an Eb bass player to complete our bass section.. We are looking forward to competing in the 2nd section Midlands area contest in March 2026.. We rehearse Monday&Thursday 8-10pm in our own bandroom under the baton of our MD Jim Henson.
