University students from across the country will soon converge in Oxford for the UniBrass 'Brass in the Park' event.
It all takes place on Saturday 1st September at Merton Field in Oxford, hosted by the UniBrass Foundation. It's hoped that 'Brass in the Park' will become an annual event, as students take the opportunity to gather together before a return to their studies after a well deserved summer break.
Scratch band
The scratch-band will entertain the public with diverse music (11.00am — 4.00pm) that includes everything from 'Teddy Bear's Picnic' and 'Pomp & Circumstance' to 'Moonlight Serenade' and the 'Go Compare' advert theme.
Andrew Stration, UniBrass Foundation Chair told 4BR: "I can't wait to see everyone there. The community built within the UniBrass family really is something special, and we look forward to sharing that with the people of Oxford — along with the great weather, refreshments and a BBQ!"

Call goes out
He added: "The call goes out for students, local bandsman, or interested brass player who would love to join us on the day!
The band will be made up of people that have never before played together, playing music they've not seen — so there is absolutely no reason not to attend!"
