The International Brass Band Summer School still has a few spaces left available for lucky delegates wishing to spend a fantastic week of music making under the guidance of some of the world's finest brass band stars at the University of Wales in Swansea from Sunday 29th July to Saturday 4th August.
Star leads
The course will be led by Black Dyke Director of Music Prof Nicholas Childs and features the likes of Richard Marshall, Tom Hutchinson, Chris Turner, Zoe Hancock, Owen Farr, Gary Curtin, Daniel Thomas, David Thornton, Brett Baker, Matthew Routley, Joseph Cook and Paul Lovatt-Cooper.
IBBSS Course Director Prof Nicholas Childs told 4BR that being able to offer delegates the chance to work with leading figures in the banding world is one of the reasons why the course continues to attract brass band players from all corners of the globe.

Gala concert
The course is rounded off with the traditional gala concert at Fulton House on the Singleton Campus at 7.00pm — before one final night of fun and games. .
Music to be featured in that night includes PLC's 'Through Heaven's Gate' and John Williams' 'Hedwig's Theme' solos from Tom Hutchinson and Dan Thomas, with massed band items such as Sousa's 'Liberty Bell' and Tchaikovsky's grand finale 'March Slave'.
