Scots look for cross border entries

Entries are being sought for the Scottish Open, Scottish Challenge and Scottish Youth Championships.

  The Scottish Open will take place at Perth Concert Hall

Entry forms are now available for the 2018 Scottish Festival of Brass — featuring the Scottish Open, the Band Supplies Scottish Challenge contest and the Scottish Youth Championships.

The 16th annual Scottish Open on Saturday 24th November will see competing bands able to choose one of four works from the pen of the renowned composer Edward Gregson — former National Championship of Great Britain set-works, 'Connotations', 'Dances and Arias', 'Of Distant Memories' and the 2008 British Open test-piece, 'Rococo Variations'.

Bands wishing to take part in the contest at Perth Concert Hall, with a first prize of £1,250 should download and complete the entry form which should be returned to contest controller Carrie Boax at chboax@gmail.com

Scottish Challenge

The Band Supplies Scottish Challenge contest, is open to bands from First to Fourth Sections.

The own-choice event will take place at Perth Concert Hall on Saturday, 17th November.

Youth Championships

The Scottish Youth Brass Band Championships will also be held over the weekend of 24th and 25th November, with further details to be announced in due course.
